Agriculture

The lack of truly fast testing for individuation of dangerous bacteria (i.e. E.coli, Listeria, Salmonella) is a major problem for the fresh food industry (Fresh Cut, dairies, etc.). Current tests are too slow (18 hrs-5 days) to avoid recalls, lawsuits, damaged reputation, or safeguard consumer health. Yarok has developed an in-shift testing system providing fast, accurate initial results after 45 minutes and final results before fresh food exits the production facility. Stop recalls. Save costs.

Online Commerce & Marketplaces

In emerging markets, 80% of food is grown on small farms, and post-harvest losses up to 40% are not uncommon, largely because of inefficient marketing. FarmZee is an SMS chatbot that receives basic information from rural farmers and puts their produce on the map for buyers, who can search for or be matched to it by our algorithm. Sellers pay to post their produce online through SMS, and buyers may browse the online marketplace through the website or app.
