In emerging markets, 80% of food is grown on small farms, and post-harvest losses up to 40% are not uncommon, largely because of inefficient marketing. Farmster is a virtual marketplace for agricultural produce that connects farmers and buyers before harvest. Farmers post their produce into the system through our SMS Chatbot, and buyers search and order it on our app. All users are given a profile, rating and history of activity and are connected within a social network.

MoonRun is a new kind of IOT aerobic suspension trainer, embedded with movement sensors to provide an immersive aerobic experience. NanoRun will be positioned as a new indoor aerobic solution in a $5.8B market, replacing for many the cumbersome,monotonous and expensive treadmills, ellipticals and indoor cycles. Following adoption, we will provide developers with simple tools to further create multimedia, virtual reality and gaming worlds of fitness.

Medical Devices

The Airstrument was originally developed by Forbes Under 30 inventor and founder Matan Berkowitz as a motion-controlled musical instrument.
Its prototype won an award at Music Tech Fest 2015 in Sweden, graduated from a European Union incubator program in 2016 and has since been featured in media as well as on stages worldwide, including Google, Forbes and SXSW.
The team is now developing the Airstrument into a gamified platform for rehabilitation and assistive technology.

We help diabetics keep their feet through early screening for peripheral vascular disease and related complications. Early screening can offer new treatment options and help reduce incidents of amputation. Our device is non-invasive and contact-free, not based on radiation, and functionally consistent with the guidelines of the AHA, the American Diabetes Association, and other leading medical organizations. It will reduce healthcare costs for hospitals, clinics, and insurers.

Agriculture

The lack of truly fast testing for individuation of dangerous bacteria (i.e. E.coli, Listeria, Salmonella) is a major problem for the fresh food industry (Fresh Cut, dairies, etc.). Current tests are too slow (18 hrs-5 days) to avoid recalls, lawsuits, damaged reputation, or safeguard consumer health. Yarok has developed an in-shift testing system providing fast, accurate initial results after 45 minutes and final results before fresh food exits the production facility. Stop recalls. Save costs.

We do this by collaborating with industry partners to design solutions that enable consumers to switch to this technology without having to give up any convenience. This is reflected in our first product Vostok 1500, an urban electric scooter for delivery companies and for individual use. Easy, convenient, and without having to pay a price premium to adopt this new technology.

We've created a new shopping experience on VR, that allows customers
to interact naturally with products using only their hands, view from every
angle and customize the product in the VR.
To do that we had to overcome a know VR problem called death misperception. While others try to solve it using hardware, we developed a software that creates a prediction of the user’s real intentions and bends
the virtual reality, so his faulty actions and misperceptions won’t hurt the experience.

Sukriti has developed a prefab toilet cabin that depends on very little manual intervention for maintenance. It is automated (without any sensor!) for self-cleaning and self-maintenance, saving up to 75% of water while working on renewable energy. It smartly decides when to flush and with how many liters of water.

We can manage parking garages, by directing drivers to the next available spot. We can do the same for on street parking, and reduce traffic loads by 30% of major streets. RePark increases space utilization & green lungs while reducing pollution

We aim at creating a novel eyes-free perceptual experience for visually impaired people, by conveying the environment through soundscapes using our IP protected sensory substitution methods (originally developed in Prof. Amedi, our scientific advisor) in "soundglasses". These methods were shown to activate "visual" areas in the blind's brain, enabling visually impaired people to actually perceive a world currently beyond reach through sound and speech.

The entire model of online shopping today is catalog-based with very limited scope for ‘inspiration’ or Visual Merchandising (VM) that is very typical to offline stores. We have created an AR/VR technology platform using which retailers can create immersive shopping experiences for their online consumers and increase engagement with the brands. A consumer can virtually walk-around a store, pick products and shop for it in an engaging environment designed to inspire purchases.

Nanosynex is saving the world from superbugs, starting with a diagnostic test that checks bacterial resistance to antibiotics in a record time (from 9h to 4h), allowing same-day result (<5h) and saving huge healthcare costs. This revolutionary development comes from the lab of Prof. Levenberg, Dean of the Technion Biomedical Engineering Faculty. Our solution will be composed of microfluidic disposables cards, to test a panel of antibiotics at once; and a fluorescent benchtop reader.

The R&D phase extended through 4 years and was fully funded by the FP7 initiative of the European Commission with 12m EURO.

The unusual amount of funding by the EC was received due to the fact that Nano's technology is the only viable Anti-bacterial technology in the world to treat Hospital textiles, as a means of fighting against Hospital acquired Infections.
